As always, the Alford Memorial Radio Club did an excellent job planning and hosting the Stone Mountain Hamfest this year. The weather was fantastic. There were lots of goodies to be found, and lots of meeting, greeting, and liaison activity took place.
Our Frequency Coordination Director (Dan Gunter / KK4ICE) had the pleasure of visiting with SERA/Georgia’s District Director and Frequency Coordinator, David Benoist (AG4ZR) at the A.R.R.L.
table. They briefly discussed the latest repeater and coordination activity and the ever-growing popularity of the DMR Digital format among Amateur Radio operators, clubs, and repeater owners in both states.
